AHURA Art Campus
"Ahura Art Campus" is a non-profit free Discord-based exclusive art education program to share knowledge/experience as well as learning from those who will join. I’ve spent the previous decade of my life on helping artists grow through a web-based community, and I feel like it’s time for a reboot, in a more exclusive and fun way.
Vision: Each quarter, we invite ~10 visual artists to join a 8-month program designed to help them grow as individuals and as a group. The goal is to improve their artistic skills, expand their creativity, and step outside their comfort zones.
During this journey, artists will explore amazing ideas and inspirations—from the genius of Da Vinci to the creative world of Hades by Supergiant Games. Allow me to curate.
The program includes personal projects, teamwork, and guidance from experienced mentors. Special guest artists will also visit to share their unique knowledge and skills. Without spoiling anything, you might even create something as magical as an ancient Persian town imagined in Tolkien’s universe.
The course is completely free, and anyone with a portfolio and a cover letter can apply. Spaces are very limited, but as the program grows, we’ll train mentors to help include more artists in the future.
At the end of the program, all participants will come together for an exciting final project. They’ll work as a team to complete a simulated art production, creating something amazing as a group.
No matter the skill level or artistic goals, this is a chance to grow, learn, and create alongside others who share your passion for art. I personally would be the one who learns the most, therefore I really look forward to it all.
Anyone who’s interested can [for now] join the Instagram page for news and updates. Call for Q1 2025 class coming soon!
Meet “Mehrafarin: Persian Goddess of Art and Creation”
Designed by exceptionally talented ZED (Zedd_Ghaf) this beautiful character was born during the Ahura experience as a miracle. Allow me to explain.
The Faravahar, an ancient Persian symbol of the soul and moral guidance, dates to around 515 BCE and still appears on the ruins of Persepolis. It has always been a male figure, until now.
”Mehrafarin” follows the same blueprint, and as a fictional Goddess of Art and Creation emerged like a miracle, from Persian Mythology character design assignments in Ahura. I personally can’t stop loving this artwork, I’m obsessed with it actually. I believe this is a highly valuable artwork with a strong message that completes what has been missing from thousands of years ago.
Zed’s status as the creator of this artwork remains untouchable! In fact, this artwork inspired a series of designs that we call “Ahura Original”, an artbook in the making all inspired by Persian Mythology. It was even recognized by the creator of Prince of Persia, the amazing Jordan Mechner.
More Ahura Original art and highlights of Ahura Art Campus assignments will be updated here soon! I can’t stop admiring my dear friends’ talent. I will do my best to spread this beauty and elegant design.
